About the Workgroup

The NASW-Michigan Michigan Affirming Therapists Clinical Consultation workgroup aims to bring together social workers of all experience levels who are currently working with members of the transgender community. The group is structured in a peer consultation format, allowing attendees to explore cases and questions that have come up in practice.

• Letter writing and documentation
• Informed consent
• Cultural humility
• Educational/training opportunities
• Ethical and legal concerns
• Resources for clients and their therapists
