The Chapter Ethics Committee (CEC) reviews and resolves complaints of alleged violations of the NASW Code of Ethics by chapter members. The CEC is also responsible for providing consultation, education, and training on ethical issues to NASW members in coordination with the State Chapter office. Join the CommitteeThe CEC consists of 9-12 volunteer members who serve three-year terms. Requirements for membership are five years’ experience in the field, full licensure, and an active NASW membership. If you are interested in participating in this committee, please complete the NASW-MI Chapter Ethics Committee (CEC) registration form. About the CommitteeThe NASW-Michigan Chapter Ethics Committee (CEC) reviews and resolves complaints of alleged violations of the NASW Code of Ethics by chapter members. This responsibility is fulfilled in conjunction with the National Ethics Committee (NEC) and adheres to the NASW Procedures for Professional Review as established by NASW as part of its peer review process. The CEC is also responsible for providing consultation, education, and training on ethical issues to NASW members in coordination with the State Chapter office, NEC, and the national Office of Ethics and Professional Review.
