Founded in 1955, the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world. NASW works to enhance the professional growth and development of its members, to create and maintain professional standards, and to advance sound social policies.
NASW-Michigan ChapterAbout UsThe Michigan Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers has over 5,000 members who live and work in the State of Michigan. We support the state's more than 30,000 licensed social workers and 6,500 students in social work programs.
Our office is located in Downtown Lansing (741 N Cedar St, Suite 100) just a few blocks from the state capital. Our state Chapter is then broken into 11 regions, each with a Regional Representative. Learn more about our Board of Directors and staff.
Our MissionThe mission of NASW-Michigan is to support, promote and advocate for professional social work practice, practitioners and the social work profession, to improve the quality of life for the people of Michigan.
