Our policy priorities are reflective of social work values with the commitment to racial justice, diversity, equity and inclusion. Learn more about what NASW-MI has identified as our current policy priorities. At NASW-Michigan, our legislative priorities reflect our commitment to advancing the social work profession and promoting the well-being of individuals and communities across our state. These priorities guide our advocacy efforts at both the state and federal levels, addressing critical issues such as social work licensure reform, workforce investment, community well-being, and human rights. While these priorities provide a roadmap for our advocacy, they are not set in stone. The legislative landscape is ever-changing, and we remain responsive to emerging needs and opportunities to support social workers and the communities they serve. As new challenges arise, we may adjust our focus to ensure our efforts align with the most pressing issues facing Michigan and the nation. NASW-Michigan State Legislative Priorities
