This June and throughout the year, NASW-Michigan proudly celebrates and supports our LGBTQIA2S+ social work community. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to LGBTQIA2S+ social workers, advocates, educators, students, and allies who continue to advance equity, dignity, and inclusion across Michigan and beyond.
Social workers play a critical role in creating affirming spaces where all people can thrive. Across our state, LGBTQIA2S+ social workers are providing essential mental health services, advocating for inclusive policies, supporting vulnerable communities, educating future professionals, and helping build a more just and compassionate society.
Pride Month offers an opportunity to celebrate the resilience, contributions, and diverse identities that strengthen our communities. Throughout June and beyond, Pride events across Michigan bring together individuals, families, advocates, and allies to celebrate authenticity, foster connection, and advocate for progress.
Thank you to the LGBTQIA2S+ social workers, students, advocates, and allies who continue to lead with courage, compassion, and authenticity. This Pride Month and every month, NASW-Michigan stands with you in celebrating, advocating, and building a more inclusive future for all.
Happy Pride Month!
