Each summer, thousands of Michiganders from across the state come together to celebrate the beautiful and diverse identities within our LGBTQ+ community. Pride events—ranging from rallies and parades to picnics and festivals—create spaces where individuals, families, and allies can show up fully, celebrate openly, advocate boldly, and declare: We are here. We are visible. We are proud.
NASW-Michigan is seeking volunteers to support and participate in Pride events across the state beginning in June. This is a meaningful opportunity to represent the social work profession while uplifting and celebrating the communities we serve.
Volunteer Role Includes:
Staffing the NASW-Michigan vendor booth
Handing out materials and giveaways
Answering general questions about social work and services
Celebrating, advocating, and representing the profession with pride
All materials will be provided by NASW-Michigan.
Important Details:
Volunteers will be asked to commit to a couple of hours during the event
The deadline to sign up is one week prior to each event
Volunteer shifts will be assigned based on event needs
