The Michigan mental health community has shown tremendous support for the MSU and surrounding areas after the shootings on February 13th. Hundreds of social workers and other mental health professionals offered up their services to students, faculty, and local schools. Recognizing this difficult work, the National Association of Social Workers - Michigan Chapter is offering several support sessions for clinicians, as a place to discuss your experiences, the impact of trauma, secondary traumatic stress, vicarious trauma, and self-care.
Sessions are free and open to all mental health professionals. Additional sessions will be added as needed.
