NASW Virtual Book Club Recruiting for 2021 Cohort!

Deadline to sign up: March 31, 2021

NASW-Michigan is thrilled to announce that we are recruiting for year five of our virtual book club! Join our virtual community to earn up to 18 continuing education credits per licensure renewal cycle while connecting with fellow social workers to read and discuss interesting books that relate to our field. The book club connects in an online community forum, allowing for the opportunity to participate any time of day or night.

Participation is $69 per year for NASW members (use code MOAK2018277) and $89 per year for non-members. Fee includes the online quizzes for CE credit.

The year-long book club will give members the opportunity to:

  • Earn 3 CEs for each book that they read and pass a short quiz with a score of 80% or more. The group will read six books per year so participants can earn up to 18 CEUs per year (Michigan allows up to half (22.5) of your continuing education to be earned through alternative learning methods, including the virtual book club).
  • Read interesting books related to social work practice and social justice
  • Connect with other social workers to grow their professional network and learn from their peers
  • Participate entirely online so the program can work with people's busy schedules
  • Hold themselves accountable to reading by being part of a cohort
