Wayne State University - The COVID-19 crisis is hitting Metro Detroit hard, as the rate of positive cases in the city is increasing rapidly. In the midst of this, Metro Detroit healthcare workers are valiantly working around the clock in highly stressful and sometimes under resourced settings to care for seriously ill patients. The goal of this project is to offer support and debriefing to these front-line healthcare providers and first responders to help them through these very demanding times. To provide this support the Wayne State University School of Social Work and College of Nursing, in collaboration with the department of Psychology, have organized a volunteer hotline service for healthcare workers. The hotline, launching April 7th, will be available Mondays through Saturdays from 5 AM - 9 PM. Support and resourcing will be provided to help providers continue to function through this crisis. Hotline services are free, completely confidential, and anonymous. Support can be accessed via the following telephone number:1-888-910-1636
