2017 Delegate Assembly Activities Underway. Submit Proposed Changes to the NASW Code of Ethics and Bylaws by June 17
Comprised of 277 elected delegates, the Delegate Assembly (DA) is the representative, decision-making body through which NASW members set broad organizational policy, establish program priorities, and develop a collective stance on public and professional issues. The DA meets once every three years, and the 2017 Assembly will hold its culminating meeting on August 4, 2017. Log in to the DA webpage, using your NASW username and password, to view the 2017 DA activities timetable, notices, resources, and more. If you would like to propose changes to the NASW Code of Ethics or NASW Bylaws (relating only to those articles in the purview of the DA), email Sue Jashinsky at sjashinsky@naswdc.org, who will respond with the guidelines and format for submitting proposed changes. Deadline to propose changes is June 17, 2016.
You can purchase a copy of Social Work Speaks, 10th Edition, the comprehensive and unabridged collection of policies adopted and revised by the NASW Delegate Assembly in 2014.
