Every year thousands die or are injured by guns, many in their own home. As social workers we have an opportunity to better inform our clients about gun safety, better understand the prevalence of gun deaths in our communities, and to advocate for common sense gun policy in local, state, and federal legislation. This workshop will provide an introduction to the prevalence of gun violence, ideas to help families keep children safe, and information on goals for legislative changes.
