Immigration and the Role of the Social Worker - 2 Implicit Bias CEs

All Michigan social workers are invited to a virtual CE event on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.

 2 Implicit Bias CE Credits

Undocumented and under-documented immigrants are among the most vulnerable populations in our society, facing complex barriers to safety, stability, and well-being. This presentation explores the critical role social workers play in supporting immigrant communities through advocacy, culturally and linguistically competent services, and ethical practice. Participants will examine the legal and ethical responsibilities of social workers, strategies for promoting access to care, and approaches to supporting mental health, integration, and overall well-being. This session is designed for social workers committed to upholding social justice and effectively serving marginalized communities. We are excited for this opportunity to learn with therapists and co-owners of Elevated Therapeautic Services, LLC - Jenny Bishop, LMSW and Holly DeVivo, LMSW-Clinical.
