Social Workers Rising in Resilience

Join us in Saginaw on Friday, February 20 at SVSU’s Ott Auditorium for a full-day, in-person learning and networking event focused on resilience, community, and the evolving realities of social work practice in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

This event will feature an opening keynote on Indigenous resilience, a candid “Real Talk” panel on workforce and supervision challenges, opportunities to connect during lunch and a resource fair, and focused sessions on aging and isolation and affirming LGBTQ+ practice. Designed for social workers and social work students alike, the day blends meaningful learning with connection, reflection, and practical takeaways.

Student Poster Presentations

Poster presentations will allow you to showcase your knowledge, research, or projects related to social work while engaging directly with conference attendees, including professionals and peers. Proposals are due January 19th. Click to learn more.

 

Resource Fair

We are hosting a local resource fair to highlight the incredible organizations serving the Great Lakes Bay Region. Agencies are invited to join us onsite to share information about their services, job opportunities, internships, volunteer roles, and community programs with practicing social workers and social work students.

CE Information

6 CE Credits (3 Implicit Bias; 1 Ethics, 2 General)

NASW-Michigan is an approved provider with the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative, Provider Number MICEC-0017. All NASW-Michigan CE courses also qualify for MCBAP credits. 

 

Cancellation Policy

Due to the catered food provided during this event, cancellations and refund requests are accepted up to 2 weeks before the event. Cancellations or refunds within two weeks of the event date will be subjected to a $40 cancellation fee.
