Open to social work students, faculty, and staff across MI and beyond

Social workers must complete degree-required unpaid internships. Coupled with the massive amount of debt accrued to gain an MSW, many students face financial hardship. Learn about other movements to fight for paid internships, address challenges to getting paid for our work, and strategize success together.

Panelists include:
Duane Breijak, Executive Director, NASW-MI
Adam Cecil, Co-Founder, Social Service Workers United (and R10 Rep in NASW-MI Board)
Arie Davey, Co-Founder, P4P UM and National
Carlos Vera, Co-Founder, Pay Our Interns
Co-sponsored by NASW-MI Student Ambassadors Program and P4P UM
