In early August, ASWB finally released demographic data for pass rates for their social work exams. The disparity in pass rates for people with marginalized identities is appalling, even more so when focusing on first time exam takers. All social work institutions including social work higher education programs, licensing boards, ASWB, and professional associations like NASW are called to action to address systemic racism within our profession.

We want to hear from you and what changes you would like to see made to the social work licensure process or our general rules! All social workers are welcome to attend. Come share your personal experiences with the ASWB licensing exam and your thoughts, opinions, and ideas for how we can advocate for a social work licensure process in Michigan that is fair, equitable, and reflects our professional values.
