This webinar’s objective is to offer basic information on Risk Management and Insurance Coverage related to the practice of Social Work. Social Workers know of the importance of having malpractice insurance but often face challenges looking for the appropriate coverage and carrier. This workshop will provide critical information to attendees on this topic.

 

Learning Objectives:

  1. Provide attendees with applicable information on Risk Management for their jobs or practices.
  2. Share with attendees what they need to look for in a professional liability policy.
  3. Inform attendees about the unique approach that the NASW Risk Retention Group offers to its insureds.

Once registering and paying for the course you will get access to view the webinar (through a downloadable pdf file), as well as receive a link to complete the post test. Attendees need to answer 80% of the content questions correctly in order to receive credit for the course. All continuing education certificates will be emailed within 30 days of completion of the post test.

Continuing Education: 1 CE is available for social workers. $19 for NASW members, $29 for non-members.

 

NASW-Michigan is an approved provider with the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative, Provider Number MICEC-0017. This program is approved for 1.0 social work ethics continuing education clock hour. Social workers (under the new General Rules) can earn up to half (22.5) of the required 45 hours of continuing education through alternative learning methods, such as this webinar.
