Mind-Body in Social Work Interest Group - Recentering and Recharing with Reiki An introduction to Reiki, an eastern wellness practice, focusing on self-directed application for burnout prevention, tending to stress and self-regulation.  

Objectives:  
After participating in this training experience, participants should be able to highlight the roots and origin of Reiki.  

After participating in this training experience, participants should be able to describe the effects Reiki has on the nervous system.  

After participating in this training experience, participants should be able to identify 3 ways Reiki is being implemented in mind-body practice.  

Optional: During the last portion of training experience, those who desire to receive Level 1 Reiki Attunement for self-application, will have the opportunity to participate in Reiki Attunement which focuses on Reiki as a self-directed method.        This group currently plans to meet quarterly (September, December March, and June) with a daytime and evening option each month: 2nd Monday @ noon ET or 2nd Thursday 7pm ET (9am AUST). This interest group aims to:

- Provide an international forum to network with social workers/clinicians who utilize mind-body approaches and techniques in service delivery
- Promote and support peers by sharing ideas, resources, expertise and encouragement
