  Empowering Change: Social Work Advocacy for the Justice-Impacted in MDOC   This session will highlight the vital work being done by social workers within the Michigan Department of Corrections to support justice-impacted
individuals. Mariam DeLand, LMSW, will discuss her role in reentry services and how social workers can advocate for this population's rights and
rehabilitation. The session will offer practical approaches to reducing bias and fostering change within the justice system.
