Since 1960, the NASW Code of Ethics has emerged as the standard bearer for defining the values and principles that guide social workers’ conduct in all practice areas. In the five decades since, updates to our practice standards have continually been made, including in 2017 with the addition of 19 new standards developed to address ethical considerations when using technology. Ethical concerns continually come up at both state and national levels and social workers are constantly navigating concerns with the clients, colleagues, agencies, and systems we work with. This Lunch & Learn webinar will explore current conversations and hot topics in social work ethics with national NASW Ethics Chair, Monica Rich-McLaurin, LMSW. For more ethics resources, visit www.socialworkers.org/About/Ethics/Code-of-Ethics. Presenter: Monica Rich-McLaurin, LMSW This event is free for NASW members. $10 for future members. After registering, you will be emailed the GoToWebinar meeting link. 1 Ethics CE will be available to attendees. |
