NASW Code of Ethics: An Update
Tuesday, October 23, 2018
12:00 - 1:30 PM
Grace A. Dow Library (Midland Public Library) Conf. Room A

On August 4, 2017, the NASW Delegate Assembly approved the most substantive revision to the NASW Code of Ethics since 1996. With emergent technological advances over the last two decades, the profession could not ignore the necessity for more clarity around the complex ethical issues that arise with the use of various forms of technology. The NASW Code of Ethics contains 19 new standards and revisions to several longstanding standards developed to address ethical considerations when using technology. The NASW Code of Ethics continues to be the most accepted standard for social work ethical practice worldwide.

Region 5 invites you to join us for an update on these recent changes, presented by NASW-Michigan Ethics Committee Chair members, Gary Lalicki, LMSW (current Chair) and Fred Schade, LMSW (former Chair). Please bring your ethical questions with you!

1.5 ethics CEs are available for social workers.

Cost:

  • Free to NASW members [you must be signed in to receive member pricing]
  • $15.00 for future members
