The Aging/Gerontology Work Group is composed of gerontology social workers from many fields of practice including hospitals, nursing homes, mental health, care management, private practice, law offices and more. Members pool their knowledge to promote sound social policies, share the latest trends in the field and provide valuable connections across agencies and regions. The speaker for this event will be Tammy Lemmer, Community Relations & Grants Manager with the Tri-County Office on Aging.

Presenter Bio

Tammy Lemmer is the Community Relations and Grants Manager at the Tri-County Office on Aging. She has worked there since November 2015. Ms. Lemmer has worked as a consultant with the Michigan Department of Education on Safe and Supportive Schools initiatives and spent twelve years with the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence specializing in primary prevention and community education through collaboration and partnership building. She is very active in the community, participating in Rotary, serving on a local school board, and working on anti-violence and anti- discrimination projects.

 

 

This is a special event put on my NASW-Michigan's Aging/Gerontology Work Group. This workshop is free for NASW members, $20 for non-members. 1.5 social work CE's.
