Region 4 - Western Michigan

Thank you to all of the social workers who supported the Region 4 events in 2013 and I am looking forward to a great 2014 participation with more offering of CE events, collaborations, and everyone joining us for the NASW 2014 conference in East Lansing on April 3-4. Please don’t hesitate to contact me at if you are interested in helping set up future meeting or presenting. Dr. Lisa Townsend – Region 4 Representative.

Black History Month Event/ Health & Wellness Collaboration with the public schools Arch program at Bowen Elementary school gym.

An excellent way for NASW and Social workers to educate and demonstrate healthy lifestyles, as well as, celebrate black history month and Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream for every person of all ethnic races and color to come together and have the opportunity to be educated together but also have the opportunity demonstrate diversity to school aged children as educators, social workers, and other human services workers working together for a common good through this collaboration with our school system. Beat the winter blues and come out and participate in such a rewarding event with children and their families.

4483 Kalamazoo ST SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508 Bowen Elementary

Every Wednesday in February at 5:30 p.m. to 6:14 p.m.
