This workshop will explore the impacts of trauma on youth and their families across environments. It will identify the various forms of trauma and their impacts. It will also discuss treatment options and strategies for addressing trauma symptoms within the youth’s environment including at home, school and in the community.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify various forms of trauma
- Understand trauma impacts across environments
- Understand strategies and treatment approaches to assist youth and families in managing trauma symptoms in various environments
Presenter: Ashley Jenema, LMSW. Ms. Jenema works with children and families in the Marquette Community providing intensive outpatient services. She provides trauma informed care in many settings including in school, at individual’s homes and in the community as a whole.
This workshop is free for NASW members, $10 for non-members.
