This workshop will provide an update on issues people living with HIV/AIDS in the Upper Peninsula face related to HIV care, prevention and legal issue.  Will explore HIV stigma and how it affects care and treatment and what social workers can do to help.

 

Learning Objectives:

  1. Review NASW code of ethics and pertinent issues around sexually transmitted diseases, HIV, AIDS, etc.
  2. Review updates to legal issues with disclosing HIV status
  3. Provide updates on HIV prevention and care

 

This workshop has been approved for 1 social work ethics CE. Free for NASW members, $10 for non-members.
